Heavy Overnight Shelling by Pakistan at International Border in Jammu and Kashmir, Several BSF Posts Targeted
There seems to be no end to the ceasefire violations by Pakistan as its troops resorted to heavy overnight shelling, targeting several Border Security Force (BSF) posts, in various sectors at the International Border in Jammu and Kashmir.
The Director General of the BSF is scheduled to go to Jammu today and visit the forward areas to take stock of the situation.
Yesterday, 15 Indian posts came under fire from the Pakistan Rangers in the Samba and Hiranagar sectors. One BSF jawan who was injured in the firing later succumbed to his injuries.
Indian retaliatory fire has killed five Pakistan Rangers. Apart from this, one civilian, a woman, has been killed and 10 others injured as a result of Pakistani fire, according to the BSF.
Meanwhile, most of border population in the Samba and Hiranagar sectors have been evacuated and moved to safer places, to avoid any casualties. Authorities have also ordered the closure of all schools in the Hiranagar and Marheen region, and also issued a notification for the postponement of the ongoing examinations for Class XI.
The Kathua District administration has also closed all educational institutions indefinitely and has set up more camps to serve the people evacuated from villages close to the border.
The District Magistrate (DM) of Kathua said that Pakistani shelling has also extended a significant distance from the border, with shells exploding 3.5 km inside Indian territory, at places like Chakra, Sherpur and Londi.

SIALKOT: Indian Border Security Forces (BSF) personnel resorted to unprovoked firing and shelling along the Working Boundary in Sialkot's Zafarwal and Shakargarh sectors on Monday killing four Pakistani civilians, the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement.
“2 more civilians embraced martyrdom due to Indian unprovoked firing and shelling,” the Pakistani military’s media wing said.
The ISPR said Indian border forces had resorted to shelling “on civilian population in Shakargarh sector in villages Sukhmaal, Bheke Chak and Bhurey Chak.”
“Exchange of firing continues. Pakistani troops [are] targeting Indian BSF positions which are firing in Pakistan area,” said the statement.
The latest casualties on Monday mounted the civilian death toll on the Pakistani to four.
Earlier, two civilians, including a woman and an 18-year-old boy died as a result of the firing, the ISPR had said.
A Chenab Rangers man and a civilian also sustained injuries in the firing, sources in the Chenab Rangers had told Dawn.
Sources also said that Indian Border Security Force (BSF) personnel, who were stationed at the Karole Karishna and Pansar posts in India, targeted Thakar pur and Karole posts on the Pakistani side.
Both sides continued to trade allegations, with the Indians blaming Pakistani forces of violating a ceasefire agreement.
A report published on The Times of India claimed that Pakistani Rangers violated the ceasefire by targeting border posts in Kathua and Samba sectors, drawing retaliation from BSF.
“Pakistani Rangers resorted to ceasefire violation and opened small arms firing in one post in Samba district and two areas in Kathua district late last night,” the TOI quoted officials as saying.
In December last year, the two countries had pledged to uphold the 2003 ceasefire accord which was left in tatters by repeated violations that year. The truce breaches had put the nascent bilateral peace dialogue on hold.
The Himalayan territory of Kashmir, which is the main contention, between the two countries, is divided between India and Pakistan by the UN-monitored de facto border of Line of Control (LoC). The territory is claimed in full by both the countries.

Around 2,500 people were evacuated on Monday alone; the number of people evacuated is expected to cross 12,000 as more than 50 villages have been affected with the increased intensity and range of shelling.
An Emergency Response Centre established by the district administration at Hiranagar has issued a high-alert in the wake of heavy shelling.

Unfortunately, a good portion of Indians have truly been brainwashed by their media machine...and they refuse to see the grey area. Rather everything is black and white to them.
Few things to consider, Pakistan is genuinely f@cked due to the ongoing terrorism and the mega-corruption. Even the most dumbest and daftest of pupil would NOT go beyond their means in such an extraordinary condition....yet the Indians believe that the "evil" Pakistan Army is stirring trouble on the Eastern border and LOC.
Remember, each side takes advantage of the other going through a difficult time, Pakistan has done it....and it is now India which is doing it. The difference is that we are honest about it, Indians are just....meh.
It's a simple equation when it comes to Pakistan and India....a very simple equation.

Where are the Indians talking about BSF firepower enough for Pakistan Army let alone the Rangers and where are the Indian ministers talking about Pakistan having been thought a lesson (in past tense). India has more to loose by upping the ante than Pakistan. Good lesson in how to deal with Pakistan for Modi and his goons. Now the International community is jumping in and Indians themselves are questions the government's lunacy. Even Indian military is questioning the story of the boat.
