India is the perfect patsy for the West. They know India is delusional and see themselves as being much higher than they really are. The West have encouraged this self-delusion of grandeur in Western media because they want to make India the counterweight to contain China. But India are nowhere near strong enough to be considered a genuine counterweight to China. India are more of a road bump that the West would gladly use to throw in front of the Chinese juggernaut, even if to just slow China down. The West have tried using other countries, like Vietnam and Philippines, but at least these countries have a modicum of sense and finally understand where their true place in the New World Order is. India, with its World class ego and Bollywood-induced fantasy world, have no such grip on reality.

The West have long been trying to set a trap for China. To induce China into an armed conflict with a neighbour and no matter who is really in the right or wrong, they will lambast and scorn China for being the aggressor and sully China's International reputation, regardless. China is already winning the long game and its economic ascendancy is unstoppable, as long as they do not fall for the West's tricks. This is why China is showing great patience with aggressives neighbours, even when they know they could easily crush them. China is aware of the trap being set for them and they are navigating the West's minefield the best they can. However, this current game is only valid until China's military strength catches up with its economic power and they cannot be challenged, militarily, by the US and Nato, in its own backyard. Once China is able to do that, then China will reign hell down on any uppity neighbour, who get too big for their britches. China at that point will have the power to not care what the West thinks about them. India would be wise to know when that day is imminent, and even wiser to understand China remembers both who its friends and enemies are, during China's re-ascent to the top.

Well said, the way China-India trade and power parity go, no need to disturb it over an affair that India has no chance to have an upper hand and hence is itching for a war.

War would save Indian government and power elites but would also disturb bilateral trade and distract China a little.
