We are not talking about Christians. But missionaries. And buddy what I am talking about is pretty common in Indian hospitals, especially government hospitals. So there is nothing there to badmouth Christianity or normal Christians.
I have no idea though if RSS or ISKON members do it in India or abroad. Never seen in India. The bottomline is, if one is so religious, then they can go to a temple, and not a doc.
You notice most what you don't like .. .. the thing I noticed the people who organise Ganesh, Navarathri etc. in colonies Demand more money from Christians or other families.. if they refuse to donate.. those organisers force them or abuse them... it's pretty common around here... majority vs minority... of you know thousands of Babas or mathaas are involving in such activities.. it's not that only missionaries does that...
I can pretty assure you, that till my experience I have never seen something like that in Chennai or Madurai, the cities I frequent it.
As for other cities in other states, I cannot answer. I do not know. But again if such things are pretty common I do wonder how our media hasnt taken it up. You do know such news are "bread and butter" for such organisations.
If things are really like that in ur city, then I condemn it of the highest order. Noone should be forced to convert, give money for festivalities etc. I hope actions are taken against them.
As for missionaries thing, just one question. Me and my friends were asked to attend Mass in Church for a bat and ball. When we were damn kids. When we had no idea on politics, conversion saga. We happily went to church, attended it, had cake and got what we wanted. Trust me I had no biases then. We were kids for damn sake and it happened in a cosmopolitan city like Chennai.
Oiii come back to topic will ya
Problem is not the religion but the fact that a govt. employee cannot take part in such activities.

I don't know why this is being dragged out like this.
Is there a law or bye law that says that government officers cannot proselytize?
If there is a law what is the penalty? Why not just do whatever the penalty is like fine or suspension or whatever And be done with this.
A government doctor obviously cannot use her position of authority and trust to influence people in a personal matter.
Even though I can't imagine that by writing whatever she is writing she has influenced even one person in any way, still it adds pressure to patients who want to be on their doctors good books.
This is so ridiculous really and so easy to stop...a fine of Rs. 500 per prescription deducted from her salary will end this in a month.
Well this is not a business per se, she is not making money on this. Both state and central govt. have some kind provisions for these. Some are more ruthless, public sector banks, who first suspend and then fire if you own a private business.
A friend of mine is transferring his assets to his mother's name just to prevent that.
Govt of India conduct rule for their employees says participation in proselytizing activity attracts disciplinary action... not sure if Rajasthan has that clause.Well this is not a business per se, she is not making money on this.
Obviously this is a huge breach of professional ethics.
There must be some way to simply fine this woman and be done with it. Most peoples religiosity evaporates as soon as it starts affecting their wages. It's making a mountain out of a molehill.
The person who needs a tight slap is the hospital administrator whoever he is.
Like I told earlier people don't mind their own moles but count others ... how many Babas exploiting such cases ??? TTD conducting many spiritual programmes in every corner in Andhra .. they conduct such Program in our area.. we just don't mind because everyone have their own religious faiths and believes... some christians attended .. we don't even bother about because it is their personal choice.. when it comes to prayers within home ... many parivar attacking them lodging case on them, Using every tool available... with a free tag anti national .... I noticed a guy posted a news about a church father raping a girl... ignoring another rape by temple priest.... I will support him, if he posted both news..... members here targeting me as I wrote my view which is against them.. and they forgot many cases when I supported them against Pakistani members... recently a nutcase started abusing me for reporting another member...
this chanda during puja is nuisance.. these guys take money and spend on booze and drugs.. many hindus dont want to give money but there is no other option. You notice most what you don't like .. .. the thing I noticed the people who organise Ganesh, Navarathri etc. in colonies Demand more money from Christians or other families.. if they refuse to donate.. those organisers force them or abuse them... it's pretty common around here... majority vs minority... of you know thousands of Babas or mathaas are involving in such activities.. it's not that only missionaries does that...
....and it is quite another thing to keep quite when that bigot brought in ISKON in a thread related to a crazy islamist doctor.
Your silence and the silence of those who thanked you on that is duly noted.
Since you have chosen to keep quite over your fellow christians attack on hinduism, you have no moral authority to preach to me about keeping religion out. Especially since I find that most of the bigotry I find in this forum is prompted by religion.
this chanda during puja is nuisance.. these guys take money and spend on booze and drugs.. many hindus dont want to give money but there is no other option.
If he brought up ISKON, you could have brought up Missionaries /Evangelists. Those are entities who can be criticized. Religious prayers of any religion are out of bounds. Hope you understand the difference. Peace.
