It is sad to see so many people whining about an Indian getting a responsible international financial post, never mind that he is a Singapore Indian.
Instead of the whining, why not work for a Pakistani to get such a post?
Showing your envy and dislike in a competition created in your own minds will not change the situation; getting your own citizens trained and competent sufficiently well to get such positions might.

LOL, it's not envy.

The OP clearly meant it as a in-your-face brag implying that Pakistan's FATF destiny was in the hands of an Indian-origin person. Therefore, it is relevant to ask why him being an Indian is relevant to FATF decisions.

There have been other posts about Indian-origin people heading Pepsi or Google or whatever. Nobody complains, but FATF is clearly meant as a taunt to Pakistan.

In my observation for the past 9 years in US, I rarely see any Pakistani grinding for 5-6 years to get a PhD or similar. Even if they get an admit, they look for a easy way out and graduate with a MS. You'll rarely see Pakistani community getting any long term demographic dividend compared to Indian or Chinese community in US. No idea about Europe.
