Rain fury in southern India throws life out of gear, Tamil Nadu worst hit, death toll rises to 71

The attitude of countries like the US to avoid disaster is clearly not to treat nature as a force but a significant force which modern technology can alter. We are limited in thinking (I am including Pakistan here) and say this is the will of God or we are being punished by God and nothing we do can change that. We leave everything to God and do not try to limit, reduce or even eliminate the effects of the disaster. The truth is if we respond quickly or work harder many casualties can be reduced. But we are locked in our local superstitions and childish beliefs while countries like US are reaching for the sky and seek to control everything-from our country's foreign policy to their natural disasters.

We should think like the Americans to save ourselves from disaster and not have a laid back attitude towards them and say this is Gods work. It is Gods work but God wants us to use our common sense and work to protect our people from disaster.
I never said about GOD. I talked about nature. Nature itself is science with big systems of systems of systems. We are still learning about it. I am not where saying not to counter it, but what I am saying it is because of man-made changes to the nature. Hence nature is adjusting itself till another level of equilibrium is established.
