LAHORE: Despite the ban on Pakistani artists working in Bollywood, it seems like many Indian film-makers are still keen on across-the-border collaboration. This is evident from the recent reports of Atif Aslam being approached by Indian film producers to lend his voice to a song from upcoming Salman Khan-starrer Race 3.

Many Indian artists are in favour of letting Pakistani stars work in their country. They said art has no boundaries and such collaborations are necessary for the welfare of the entertainment industries.

According to sources, the producers of Race 3 have gotten in touch with Aslam. However, no comments have been made by the Pakistani singer, himself.
Aslam has previously sang for the first two installments of the Racefranchise. He sang Pehli Nazar Mein for Race in 2008 while 2011’s Race 2 featured two of songs by him, namely Beintehaa and Allah Duhai Hai.

Pehli Nazar Mein, in particular, gained a lot of popularity amongst the masses and was also one of the reasons behind the film’s success.
Earlier last month, the Indian Motion Picture Association requested the Indian prime minister to implement a ban on Pakistani artists working in India.

Industry insiders are expecting strong backlash to the Aadat singer’s involvement with Race 3. It had also been reported earlier that Khan will be serving as a lyricist for some songs of the film. Who knows if Aslam might just be crooning the words of the Dabangg star in Race 3?

Litmus test for Atif. Show the Indians a big middle finger after the disgraceful humiliating ban.

These Indian fvcks are a joke. They are confused in their hatred.

Let's see what Atif does. Does he stay true to his own word or does he break his own pledge?

People should start burning effegies if these hip directors producers keep putting money over preserving Indian art.

No , Just Business matters .

Bollywood producers aren't desperate for pakistani actors and singers but for over sees Pakistani audience in Pakistan , middle east and Europe . They few pakistani names in the movies would increase Pakistani movie goers footfalls .

I think Pistani music talent is far better then Indian. There is no voice in India comparable to Atif. From Rahat to Atif , there is long list.

Not really, bollywood producers are desperate for Atif because of his voice. Bolly producers are also desperate for Pakistani actors because of looks and acting skills.

Only people who don't want them are bolly actors and singers who will soon be out of jobs. And RSS chadis who hate the fact that bollywood will never pick one of their own.

I'm all in for actors between the two countries working with each other but for God's sake have some self respect. This is no more some crackhead Hindu nationalist wanting Pakistani's to be banned but state narrative itself now. Waiting for a year or two won't make you broke.

Anybody who watches lame south Asian movies with cheesy songs should grow up a little and get a life!!

pakistanis leave in la la land , don't they ??
Apne behem se nik lo but i know it's impossible .:lol::lol:

For last 1.5 years pakistani actors and singers are banned in india ,u think it made any difference to Bollywood earnings ?

2.Even when there was no ban , pakistanis artists worked in some 10% of Bollywood productions .

3. And before last few years when pakistani artists actually started working in bollywood , even then forget India , Bollywood was still hugely popular in pakistan .

4. If Pakistani artists were so talented why pakistani films and music industry isn't even 1/10 of Bollywood and your theaters play india movies and your news programs play indian music.

PS : Even ur marriage ceremonies aren't complete without indian song and dance sequences .

Couldn’t be more further from the truth. Pakistani audience is already in the bag for Bollywood no matter there is a Pakistani artist in the movie or not. I’m not a Atif fan but the numbers don’t lie his videos continually get over a hundred million views on YouTube and only reason is your country’s mass population which is in love with Atifs voice.

Yes it made difference to bollywood earnings otherwise they would rather pick marathi actors in bollywood. Bollywood songs which are popular in Pakistan are in urdu and punjabi, both are our languages by default.

4. Because bollywood have access to much bigger market, its like asking why UK industry earn less while their actors flood hollywood.
