Quinton de Kock withdrew from South Africa's T20 World Cup match against the West Indies after refusing to take a knee.

South Africa's players have been told to take a knee before the start of their remaining T20 World Cup matches after they were pictured taking varying stances before their defeat to Australia on Saturday.

The Cricket South Africa (CSA) Board unanimously agreed on Monday to "adopt a consistent and united stance against racism".

South Africa later said they "noted the personal decision" of De Kock not to take a knee and will await a further report from team management before deciding on the next steps.

Cancel culture is getting out of hand. There are plenty of worse issues than BLM which are ignored, like Afghanistan, Syria, Yemen, Kashmir, etc. But apparently not kneeling to support rioters burning down cities is offensive nowadays.

Total rubbish, this taking a knee business. What on do India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, BD etc have to do with essentially an American (who don't even play the sport) problem ?

I think Pak did t he right thing with the hend of heart gesture, I suspect it may have something to do with religion and not bowing to anyone/thing but god.. or something. Regardless, a better way of going about it.

Kohli too, when asked about said that "it was communicated to us through the management"

BC, hamay kya lena dena iss sai ?

It must be left to individuals to do what they want to do, those who want to take a knee, take a knee, others should be allowed to just stand somberly with a hand on heart like Pk did. To take a knee is retarded and implies complicity in having done something wrong... total BS..

cricket is being polluted by all sorts of disgusting politics, not nice to see.

All have to prove more American than America and please America. Without going into bitterness of relations between India and Pakistan, I would like to mention something here.

The blm knee thing is to show that black lives matter. In America they just do not give a crap about anyone but black. Recently they even changed the laws in many states which benefitted Asian students from China, Korea, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, etc. Schools are now openly discriminating against Asian students, even for jobs, business or housing loans so called minorities like blacks & Latinos are prioritized. So those especially Asians copying Americans are just lame idiots with no research.

The symbolism of the move makes sense in the western sense (kaepernick refusing to stand up for the anthem due to the way the US treats African Americans), but loses its value when taken out of this specific context. For Asians or even Africans participating in this knee bending, the act becomes cringe.

Agree. The gesture itself also seems a bit ironic given that the whole thing was sparked by a cop who 'took a knee' to that Floyd guy. They also seem to have added the socialist fist of solidarity to the thing, some of them, the retards.

For Asians living in United States this makes zero sense at all. Be it blacks, whites or Latinos, all these groups are for their own selves. Those Pakistanis, Indians or Chinese or Koreans etc think any of these groups are their allies, simply live in fools paradise.

What nonsense. Something happened in America and world copying like clowns.
I don't watch this sport, so I don't know when the Indian players started to emulate Colin Kaepernick (former NFL player) or [Sir] Lewis Hamilton (F1 Driver).
Odd isn't it. The situation in the US was quite the opposite.

Colin Kaepernick (former NFL player) refused to stand during the Anthem & took a knee in protest.

Last Year the sport of Formula 1 did something similar led by [Sir] Lewis Hamilton (the only) Black Driver in the sport. Not only did he convince the sport to adapt the rule, but even got his Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team to change the livery of the car from Silver to BLACK.

However, the sport nor the teams force their Drivers to take a knee pre-race.

Apparently he has now apologized and said it was a misunderstanding on his part so maybe we will now get to see him 'take the knee'.
