A Quetta woman police inspector was awarded “compulsory retirement” for making a murder accused strip and dance during the course of investigation.

A notification issued on November 11, 2021, by Quetta DIG Muhammad Azhar Akram read that Inspector Shabana Irshad, who was deputed at the Jinnah Town Police Station, was found accused of misusing authority and showing non-professional behaviour.

An inquiry, conducted by ASP Pari Gul Tareen, found that the investigation of a murder case was given to Inspector Shabana as the accused was a woman.

She was facing charges of murdering a child.

During the course of investigation, the police staff forced the accused “to her dress and to dance” on a song. A video was also recorded.

Inspector Shabana formulated “her team as per her own choice without any written orders.” The report said that the investigation was handled unprofessionally and unethically.

The inquiry had recommended for major punishment for the officer.

The notification said that the officer was given ample chance to given explanation but she failed.

Agreeing with the inquiry officer’s recommendation, DIG Akram awarded her “compulsory retirement from government services.”

Earlier on September 24 this year, five woman police officers were sacked in the same case. The officers were identified as Bushra Afzal, Huma Faisal, Uzma Nasreen, Farah Khalil and Samina Manzoor.

. . .
Wearing police uniform should be a symbol of assurance to communities, in Pakistan for some its a pass to abuse.

It is because the police is generally politicized in countries with centralized powers as opposed to delegation of powers to the grass root level, evenly. It is maintained for a very specific person, to keep people in line and to give the elite a pass.

Well the accused must have been good looking and the lady officer horney loooool. Needs must

Lol you see the silver lining in everything.

Bro don't go too political on me, our police from the start of the dictatorships and decades their moto have been dunda first, bribe second and chat latter after warming the pockets.
This police lady have just other ideas that's all, call it abuse or what ever colourful name one can think of is part of the same problem. No control, lack of education, no ethics and absence of checks and balances. Rest of the country departments are not doing any better, just feels like it country have just changed into wild west of thieves. Even IMF officials sit in Dubai in case custom officials grab hold of their nuts at the airport instead of peanuts. 😁. lol

Both have been chamchas of the csp's but the powers to be in this country rescued them otheriwse theyd be dead long time ago.

How do you think rao Anwar got promoted beyond Dsp rank? It's the seniority based law which bars rankers to reach a certain service level no matter if you liberate Kashmir but with some loopholes and those loopholes are extended as a carrot to lure rankers into committing extra judicial killings
