TEHRAN, June 11 (MNA) Qatari Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani has called for maintenance of friendly and brotherly relations between Tehran and Doha.
Qatari emir made the remarks during a meeting with visiting Iranian Oil Minister Rostam Qasemi on Monday.
He also described the Islamic Republic as a major regional country and said that the Qatari government believes that the solution to Irans nuclear issue could only be worked out through dialogue.
The Iranian minister also said that the friendly relationship between Iran and Qatar can serve as a model for other regional countries.
He added that the Islamic Republic has always tried to bring peace and security to the Persian Gulf region.
Qasemi also extended President Mahmoud Ahmadinejads invitation to the Qatari emir to attend the Non-Aligned Movement summit in Tehran in late summer.
