You should read about Attaturk from a Turkish prespective. He saved Turkey from colonialism. The Ottoman Empire fell because if it's own weaknesses. It was born surrounded by enemies and fell surrounded by enemies. The difference was the leaders. Not every Sultan is Osman, Suleiman or Muhammad Al Fatih.
