Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Wednesday he will boost military cooperation with China, including holding more joint exercises, after the United States announced plans to shift most of its warships to the Asia-Pacific by 2020.

good news but aside from this China imports mostly engines from russia these days so what it's going to buy ?and in a few years china will perfect it's engine problems so most likely joint projects ?

SCO is a very good counter move for the US Asian Pivot strategy. But under SCO, Russian led Eurasian union should expand into Iran, Pakistan and Afghanistan to stabilize this region. US/NATO should hand over the keys to SCO and leave Afghanistan theater ASAP.
