I have recently begun to notice that the behavior of some political figures closely coincides with the behavior that we attribute to the species that they resemble in the animal kingdom.
For example, every time I see the face of Vladimir Putin with his close set eyes, I think of a venomous snake slithering through the grass preparing to strike an unaware prey. And that is very similar to his exhibited behavior. He not only has killed journalists and competitors in Russia in the worst possible way, but he likely ordered the deaths of nine former Russians in Great Britain. He not only launched sneak attacks into the U.S., France and Great Britain voting systems, but he has directed cyber warfare into our power grid and is presently capable of turning off the power in many cities of our country, when it suits his purpose.
On the other hand when I look at the pudgy orange face of Donald Trump, I think of a fat pig lying on a large platter with an apple in his month. And, low and behold, that is his typical behavior, although recently he has begun to adopt some of the reptilian characteristics of his idol Putin, when he directed the firing of former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe the day before he was scheduled to retire.
But normally Trump is limited to hoggish behavior like refusing to pay contractors who work on his properties, using his office to promote the business interests of him and his family, creating sham organizations (Trump University) to swindle unwitting prey and passing income tax legislation that reap millions of tax saving dollars for himself and his cronies, while offering pennies to the rest of our citizenry.
After developing this awareness you can bet that I will not only judge the person running for office by their past performance, but I will carefully examine their appearance for animal associations. I'm sort of thinking that, in this time of grave peril to our Democracy, the characteristics of German Shepherds would be appealing - strong, smart and loyal.
