whats the difference between HH47 & CH47????

HH-47 has a multi mode radar, advanced countermeasures, survivability enhancements and internal auxiliary fuel tanks for extended range, principle role is combat search and rescue it can also be used for special operations . The CH-47 F is a heavy-transport helicopter.

sorry my mistake... India is getting CH-47F...

Spark posted an image of the HH-47 which triggered my question. It is now clear to me that the IAF will get the CH-47 and not the HH-47.

No one, the USAF CSAR-X program for acquisition of the HH-47 was terminated in the 2009 budget cuts.
Which is why I was surprised when OP posted an image of the HH-47 with the news of Boeing wining the Indian contract.

34.50 .. take it and go.. price..

@SpArK,
Sparkie, give WangWang a special price. He's a regular and persistent customer here at PDF. Do him a favor.
As they say in the Souks: baba Rafiq, only for you; sbecial brice, only for you!

In my opinion we should keep the featherlight squadron running by purchasing 2-4 Mi 26s,considering its unparallel lift capability. I am never against the Chinooks,we should have'em in large numbers,but we should have a few mi 26 too.

Is India getting HH-47?
CH-47F
Only 15? hmmmm.....
Just like with all Indian deals there will be follow on orders.
whats the difference between HH47 & CH47????
The differences are just like he differences between the standard UH-60 BlackHawk and the HH-60G PaveHawk. The former is a standard logistics troop transport and the later is a highly customised and specialised variant used mostly for CSAR and has certain modifications like a AAR probe and avionics upgrades.
This is a CH-46 SeaHawk, not a Chinook but a semi-variant in use with the USMC.
