Need this urgently in Karachi.. but realistically speaking don't see that happening in 10 years at least.

And this is one sector which needs private sector competition the most. Enough with lazy and corrupt government workers not showing up or doing a half assed job.

they've implemented the same thing in peshawar too (the kpk govt). cleanliness of peshawar is maintained by a private company called wssp (water and sanitation services peshawar) and it uses the same machines to clean the roads as pictured above. this is a good thing though i must say and wont bring politics into this for once but also karachi needs this much more badly than any city in pakistan. karachi is turning into a huge garbage dump even areas like clifton and defence are littered with dirt and garbage and dont get me started on commercial areas of middle classes like bahadurabad/tariq road/saddar. god help karachi.

Exactly. While I support Punjab gov's initiatives, but I was wondering why are there no Pakistani companies involved?

there is a local company Waste busters working on solid waste in Lahore Bhatta chowk area collects solid waste from DHA lahore markets now expanding their operations and selling their frenchize in lahore and other localities .

Home- Waste Busters

This is a good initiative needed in mega city Karachi as well , which also suffers from buildings with no paint and illegal billborads
