Punjab govt providing “khidmat cards” to over 2m families

Punjab government is providing “khidmat cards” to over two million families of the province who will receive monthly financial assistance of five hundred rupees from the 30th of this month.

Punjab Chief Secretary Naveed Akram Cheema told a meeting in D.G Khan on Wednesday that thirty three billion rupees have been allocated for the purpose and the data of deserving families has been received from the survey of Benazir Income support programme.

He said that the PC-1 of Burn unit‚ Neuro surgery ward‚ dialysis and cardiology centers in District Headquarters Hospital DG Khan have been approved

Im not against anything getting out of pockets of these professional politicians.. but just putting things into right perspective.

Army has successfully created a laptop with Intel Atom processor. They should take their help and introduce laptop industry. This will not only help creating jobs but it will also increase income and maybe we can export those laptops to other countries too in future.
These type of acts will help developing country..

Had the very same money been spent on discounting the electricity bill of every household by the same amount (no special attention to the poor in the region) everyone would have praised the administration. Or may be not... after all, criticizing every single policy of the government is the favorite time pass here.

my friend (childhood friend from my village) pays around 1500 Rs per month for his rent. Dont undervalue 500 Rs. those who dont have this much money will thank you for giving it to them. Us sitting behind out computers might not even bother looking for a 500 Rs note if we loose it in any of our many pockets.
