Punjab government plans to establish a desert tourist resort at Derawar Fort in Cholistan.
An official of Punjab Tourism Development Corporation told Radio Pakistan Bahawalpur Correspondent that an information centre will also be established in the area.
He said work on the one hundred and ten million rupees project will begin in the current fiscal year.
The official said it will help promote tourism in the country, as Derawar Fort is a big tourist attraction.
It may be added that an international Cholistan jeep rally is regularly held at the site annually, which is participated by people from all over the country and abroad.
