The Government of Punjab has introduced the online college admissions system for the students. The government has introduced this system for the facility of the students so that they can protect to stand in the long queues. This system is introduced for admission in the intermediate classes.

Punjab government has brought 71 government sector colleges in which online system is introduced and 60,000 candidates have processed their applications for admission online. The candidates can download the admission forms from the website and submit the same with the registration fee of Rs.25 paid at any Bank of Punjab branch.:pakistan:

One small step in the right direction. All provincial and federal governments should focus on providing maximum services to citizens online. This not only makes every day tasks easy and convenient it also reduces interaction between citizens and government employees. thus reducing corruption and improving service. it also results in fuel savings as you don't need to commute to the government office besides creating soft skill jobs related with development and maintenance of online systems.

Applications for CNIC, Passport, Driving license, renewal of all types of licenses and permits should alp be online. this will reduce paper and stationary cost for the government and enable better record management in digital form. Even fee payment should also be online through debit/credit cards or interac transfers.

The right step has just taken.. what if we will develop an online system for exams ./ ?

Whats the big deal about this?

It will help people a lot, specifically those who came to cities from far flung areas for admission only. When anything good happens in our country it is a big deal for us.

Good step, I still remember how I had to wait in long line to collect admission forms at peak hours on hot sunny days. Finally some relief for students..

Whats the big deal about this?

Here in Pakistan (I'm sure, things are almost similar in India too), people have to come from far areas to study in big collages and universities in cities like Lahore. Imagine how much trouble they had to face just to collect, fill and submit admission forms, all this will be lot easier for them without much headache.

So now like you submit admissions for Universities, you will do it for colleges?

NUST, GIKI, COMSATS etc use online admissions.

oh my dear here almost every university has online system, and some of the private schools too, its just that only Govt/ state run colleges were left out- and this is for those. so I believe a good step taken in the right direction
