Punjab bans dancing at school events

I'm not declaring anyone kaafir. It's meant to be sarcasm over people who scream yahoodi saazish over the smallest of things.

The threat of terrorism has changed now. It is no more soviet era jihadis attacking us like they did in the 90's and no more "good Taliban" attacking us like in the 2000's. The latest threat is radicalisation of the educated and the best place to do this is colleges and universities. It's mostly done by Tableeghi Student organisations. Marshal khan's murderers and the guy who shot his principal for marking him absent over a TLYAR rally were university students. That stupid b**** who was out to join daesh last year was a medical student. They might be radical students right now but should push come to shove they will most certainly turn to terrorist groups. By not having the courage to put a hold on this, the state is actively digging it own grave.

It's not about supporting tribal actions. Its about showing resistance and acting against them. And no govt so far has tried to do anything against them because they're all courageless fools. The stats are only increasing each year and that's only the REPORTED ones.
Also could you explain how little kids dancing in school plays and festivals will make them "vulgar" ?

Lahori Logic 101

If students shake their *** they won't join terrorist groups. Lmao this donkey eater is beyond lost.

.
Yes! That'll show them!
Dancing is an immoral act, but bombing and mass killing is definitely fine!

.
...According to details, the Punjab government has imposed this ban throughout the province, binding both government and private educational institutions in the province, to observe the ban -
By what law can the gov't impose its whim like this?

. .
This will definitely end immorality overnight, stop people from having sex outside marriages, defeat India and provide muni&salwa from the heavens.
And so the only people who are allowed to have fun are those who suck up to Authority, because it is Authority from where all blessings and goodness and word definitions come from!

.
No munni Badnam , or Sheela Jawan in our schools .. Traditional Dances are not a problem but vulgar dance is better be banned off ..

.
Election fever and coveting the conservative vote after the election reforms fiasco.

Too little too late.

. .
When corruption will be banned ? Oops I'm dreaming.

Corruption is a criminal offense by the letter of the law.

Dancing NoTz.

Its a recommendation by the government who just wants to woo in the conservative vote before the election.

Rest of the stuff on the thread is usual bullshit by the kapre phaar brigade who simply likes to portray pakistan and pakistanis as extremists.

No fucks given.

What's this? I recently saw Saudis dancing to their traditional tunes and all that. Is it halal there? But haram in Pakistan? No wonder Pakistanis are so confused, some of our folks are hell bent on wiping away our indigenous culture and identity and become grey cultureless puritan blobs.

As for those trying to side track saying it's about Bollywood, maybe it would help if you actually read the article as it talks about a blanket ban.

.
You are talking as if there's a daily dancing class in every school. As if girls and boys are being trained to become stage dancers or something. It's an activity limited to annual or maybe bi-annual functions only. What's the "uniqueness" and what do we gain from eating pizza over naan chholay ? Nothing, it's all becomes shit in the end anyway. The concept is to show festivity and joy and dance and other arts are used as a means of expression but it's being shut down because some maulvi sahab feels funny down there when he sees little boys and girls.

You are forgetting that slowly and gradually if alien concepts and practices go unchecked in a society they become norm after sometime. I am sure the kids are not doing Khattak or other folk dances, they are dancing to the tunes of Munni badnam and Sheela Jawam these days .......

And as you mentioned dances are to show festivity and joy ....... so have we accomplished that state already? Right now we need our Pakistani kids going through activities that strengthens them mentally and physically .... we don't have time for dancing nor we have reached that point where we can become lax and dance ..... Understand please, the sort of activities we indulge in are reflective of our mental state .......

And to inform you, for Indians dancing has a religious significance, they think that universe was brought into existence by dancing ........

If you think 6 and 7 year old boys and girls dance with the intent of seducing each other I don't even know anymore.

Yes they don't ......... but then why an adult should introduce them to art of seduction?

Sports facilities in Pakistan have declined, number of parks in Pakistan have gone to minimum, our youth, our children and our elders don't have proper venues available now for healthy activities, social gatherings, community gatherings have vanished, we are producing cricketers only now, and that too mediocre cricketers ....... dancing in my list is down at the bottom ......

.
Yeah, Pakistani civilization is so unique that they're the only people in the area that lacks dance in their lexicon.
Very wise decision.
Man STFU and mind your own business.

@LeGenD i failed to see how dancing is even remotely related to progress and development
Bro!! Didn't you know?? If we let all of our daughters become strippers Pakistan will finally colonize Mars and go on to conquer the galaxy!!

It's the only way to progress. :disagree:

It will stop kids form performing on dances like munni hui badnaam and sheela ki jawani or halkat jawani

Article says performing on indian and pakistanis songs. I dont think its cultural dances as they are pretty benign and i like punjabi bhangra more than anything.

Also offlately these kind of things were coming out from unis

---------

@Desert Fox
dancing on indian or pakistani movie songs on school events had always been happening which isn't really in a great taste. Some years back my cousin who was a o levels students was telling that at annual school function girls had organized a dance posse on a bollywood song and she left the posse cause it had to perform before the schools male principal and some male teachers.

I dont disagree with this ban but idont believe it will uphold its just to attract a vote bank.

Man STFU and mind your own business.

And later on that principal had been made to force resign or leave his job cause it turned out he was a pervert. He wasnt humiliated for his repute cause in pakistan if there arises some kind of scandal about a uni or college admin member, principal etc it gets terribly hush hushed to the point that even female teachers and female senior staff members threaten girls of serious consequences if she reports the incident alongwith rest of management cause they fear such scandals going public will cause serious damage to their schools repute.
