Public Transport in Pakistan.

I would like to to what are modes of Public Transport in cities like Islamabad, Karachi, etc.

In Mumbai we have Buses (B.E.S.T), Local Trains, Ricksaw, Taxis and also Metro coming with 1 year.

Delhi chenna also have the same, what about Pakistan, can some member shed soem light on this.

lahore got many transport companies and government own LTC ( Lahore transport company ) running there buses on different routes

Buses of LTC

AC buses of private company .

Auto rikshaws.

Just to give an idea about B.E.S.T's size it has 4500+ buses in operation (with 1500 more to be added very shortly).

just to give an idea about LTC which has started importing buses 2 years back has 650 operation buses and 1650 buses are going to be operational before 2012 .. more private companies are investing in transport system.

No, infact Daewoo is Korean Company. Like in Pakistan Daewoo Pak Motors (Pvt.) Ltd. assembles daewoo buses.

My mistake "Daewoo Commercial Vehicle" which makes trucks is owned by TATA now(bought from Korea). Not "Daewoo bus"..
