ISLAMABAD: Officials and public office holders of the incumbent government of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf paid the highest amount for gifts in terms of subsidized value from the Toshakhana in the fiscal year 2018-2019, Cabinet Secretariat's official data of the past 10 years reveals.
The official record from the past decade shows that the government officials deposited over 34 million rupees in government treasury in the year 2018 to 2019 for retaining the gifts, which is the highest retention in this whole period.
Over these years, only in the fiscal year 2015-2016, when the PMLN was the ruling party, no gift was retained by any government official. As per the procedure for the acceptance and disposal of gifts, gifts up to the value of Rs30,000 rupees may be retained free of cost by the government representative.

.
And during PML-N one had to pay 15-25% to purchase from Tosha Khana ,,,, PTI increased it to 50%, that's what IK paid.

PPP - necklace thief Yusuf Raza Gilani:
Did Yusuf Raza Gilani pay out of his pocket? No. Used NADRA to pay for necklace initially.
Used government money to "allegedly" pay charity.
And if he had paid then why would he later return the necklace. He didn't pay a penny for the necklace.

The PDM thieves have nothing on Imran Khan so desperately trying to find something to blame on him. IK has done nothing illegal hence why there is no case filed against him. They are trying to malign him in media instead.

There should be no buying option of gifts because they got them because of state position not in personal capacity.
If they want to get them then pay 100 percent of the price not 10 15 or 50 percent.
It will always open the doors for corruption.politcians in pakistan are theive.they always will do some corruption in this.

two wrongs don't make a right, this toshakhana scene needs to be changed TOTALLY, why give these guys a discount? they should pay 100% of the value if not more and that money should reflect in national treasure

It really tells you the state of affairs when the biggest charge N league has against IK is that he did something completely legal from the Toshakhana. Na koi sugar mill, na koi theke ka ghapla, na koi qatal, na zameen na qabza, such an unworthy crime!

In my personal opinion though, this practice needs to be abolished from the get go. These are gifts to the state, the person is acting as a representative of the state, not a personal capacity. It should be held with the state.

What IK did here is borderline immoral, but certainly not illegal. He says he used the money to build the roads in Bani Gala, can't really verify that right now though.

It really is ironic that murderers, land grabbers, and money launderers are raising such hue and cry over a watch for which 50% value was paid!

As a fun trivia, guess who passed the law to declare Toshakhana gift details a secret!

There should be no selling of these things.
Why they will get this huge discount?

But this practice should stop.
They should have no option to buy them.
