What's new

PTI is seeking $12 billion DEBT in its 1st year, equaling total debt of PMLN in its 5 year tenure

Doesnt work that way... .the country will go bankruot and leaders will live on dubai and england till someone fix it just enough for them to loot it again..this is what has been happening long before i was born since late 1980s...generation of educated Phd have slave mentality

Its an age of death of straight foward reasoning ..
Debt, CAD, Fiscal deficits term that i doubt Mr Sharif even knows, are Pakistan main issues and you see them discussed at highest level now
Don't you lose hope.
Pakistanis are very resilient yes.
But one cannot be that much resilient.
If they want to be looted then what can we do. If they want corrupt politicians, if they want to be ruled by corrupt politicians what can we do.
Let them meet their end their own way. Majority is after lal authority in our democracy.

My two cents

When PPP left the government, the debt was around 66 billion dollars and by the time PML-N tookover it was around 60-62 billion USD after few debt servicing payments had been made and everybody was talking about iminent option of going to IMF. PML-N took at least 40 billion dollars in loan but it is also true some of the loan was used to repay previous loans so it wasn't the money coming in hand but taking loan to pay previous loans. It is also true that PML-N left 200% more reserves than what they had got in 2013 and the economy is in much better position compared to 2013 when we were being called failed state in every news article but in my opinion taking loan is not bad if your economy is thriving but taking loans foolish will haunt us when it comes to pay back. Most of the loans PML-N took are yet to be paid and PTI will be left with no option other than taking more loans or else Pakistan will come hack to brink of default once again

Fake News.

PMLN increased foreign debt by over $40b
Firstly, I have utmost respect for everyone serving our nation and the whole nation is indebted and thankful for those services.

Now to my knowledge there was approximately 11 billion dollars assigned to very low interest loans in the CPEC plan which is not totally realized yet. Then there was a 35 billion dollars investment component as well which is not a loan. Do you happen to know the detailed breakdown of the 40 billion dollars that PMLN borrowed in it's last five years.

The reason I am asking this is because you are very credible but PTI goons have been excreting false propaganda all over the place, and I am wondering if your rationality has been victimized as a result.
