Thursday, February 14, 2013 - Mandi BahauddinPTI intra-party elections held at union council level were rigged and completed despite a stay order against the elections. This was disclosed by Younis Shahid, ex-secretary information PTI. Talking to media, he said land mafia with the strength of money high jacked the election, prepared bogus voter lists and filed nomination papers of their favorites as candidates by paying for their nomination fee of Rs 500 for each.
Kashif Hayat Ranjha, a PTI member filed a civil suit against district PTI election commission for preparing bogus voter lists, but election commission violated the court stay order and conducted the election of UC level as per schedule. Younis Shahid and other party workers called upon PTI chief Imran Khan to take notice of the rigging in intra party election being conducted in this district otherwise he warned that tsunami of PTI was likely to turn into disgrace to the true party workers.
