Duped by fake news or perhaps in an attempt to create one, PTI’s Shireen Mazari and Naeemul Haq tweeted on Tuesday an old picture of Tariq Fatemi along with PML-N members and national leaders in China.

In her tweet, Mazari said, “Govt lied again. Fatemi present in China on signing of MoUs! Part of official entourage. Shameful duplicity on Dawn Leaks.”

Haq went a step ahead, tweeting, “Nawaz continues to deceive the nation. Tariq Fatemi accompanies him in China. So his being relieved of his duties was a lie. What a farce.”

To make matters worse, prominent PTI leader Shah Mehmood Qureshi during a National Assembly session expressed his party’s reservations over Fatemi ‘accompanying’ the premier even after his dismissal.

The photo, in fact, was of an MoU signing ceremony held on December 30, 2016 in Beijing.
Fatemi, following the “settlement” of the Dawn leaks issue, was removed from his post of adviser to the prime minister.

In reaction, information minister Marriyum Aurangzeb took to task the PTI leaders, terming their statements “highly irresponsible and regrettable.”

“PTI’s reporting on Tariq Fatemi at worst seditious and diabolic or at best ignorant and incompetent,” the state minister tweeted.

Aurangzeb also issued a statement saying, “old habits die hard,” and added that the PTI had a tendency to resort to allegations without first ascertaining the facts. PTI, she said, through such utterances, wanted to create division between state institutions.

The party should refrain from making statements based on misinformation, the minister maintained.
The minister also mocked party’s chief Imran Khan, saying “If PTI cannot teach its spokespersons on how to issue statements based on facts, the information ministry is ready to assume that role for the larger interest of the country.”

Secularists should ‘mend ways or leave country’, says PTI lawmaker

Meanwhile, when asked if the top aide accompanied the premier during the visit, Aurangzeb told The Express Tribune: “No he is not with him at all.”

When contacted, one of the senior PTI leaders, requesting anonymity, said, “It is unfortunate that some of our party leaders share news on social media without verification.”

Such acts, he added, only defame and bring shame or embarrassment to the party. “Even in the past, the political party faced a lot of criticism on similar actions,” he added.

PTI is a bunch of crooks who have no shame for their repeated lies, mud-sledding, and breaking the law. IK & Gang have been exposed time and again. But these crooks are extremely shameless people. I hope these idiots never come to power despite the support from some hard-headed retirees.

Yes they have made a goof up, but hasn't your proclaimed GODFATHER lied to the nation for more than 30 years???? no electric, no cleaning drinking water, Gas, no rule of law and the list goes on.

I think matter must be investigated and if he is accompanying NS then questions must be asked in what capacity? But if picture is an old one then perhaps IK needs to explain why this misinformation and he needs to explain when his games will stop. When a Nation goes to polls it costs in monetary terms and in Pakistan case plenty with a lot of hot heads, we loose lives too which is very rare in most democracies. Once people elect their leaders, then leaders do their duties from parliament not from the roads when they don't like some decisions. Why in Pakistan case nation pays price by constant protests, dharnas and forever mud slinging. If we want to develop then we need stability, peace, rule of law, justice for all and honest leaders so we can tackle health, education industrialization and poverty problems. We need honest leaders but one looks left and then right and their seems to be the same just different names. Only interested in their self preservation and self interests. LIES MUST BE CAUGHT AND THEN THOSE POLITICANS MUST BE EXPOSED AND BANNED ALL TOGETHER. Had it enough of these cow boys so called leaders who are enriching themselves. In my humble opinion PPP should be banned all together considering their record of last term in office and Zardari and co. should be stripped off Pakistan citizenship and left to rot. NS and co. must be investigated and if found guilty same fate should await them. Power hungry IK should only be allowed to be member of parliament if people wants him otherwise send him on gardening leave.
We need some patriotic fresh face who takes us forward and at the moment I can't see any. May be we need Raheel Sharif back as NAB chairman this time with unlimited powers and without any restrictions to investigate each politician and if found guilty hang them all. Pakistan comes first for all of us. :pakistan:

Let me tell you one thing, silly kid. Your little brain is unable to realize the difference between not supporting PTI and supporting PML(N). While I dislike PTI, that doesn't mean I like PML(N). Hope your tiny brain gets it now.

Silly boy, its you need to realise the difference what GODFATHER has done in the last 30 years with broken promises, endless corruption, but in your previous posts you champion PMLN.
