PTI emerges winner in LA-3 by-elections

MIRPUR – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) candidate Barrister Sultan Mahmood has emerged victorious in the by-election of LA-3, according to unofficial and unconfirmed results.

The PTI candidate bagged 17,617 votes, according to unofficial results from all 119 polling stations. He was followed by Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s Sohaib Saeed, who secured 14,819 votes.

It is pertinent here to mention that the seat fell vacant after the court disqualified PML-N’s Muhammad Saeed in case pertaining to contempt of court.

The law-enforcement agencies had made foolproof security arrangements, while 2700 police personnel were deputed at the polling stations.
