PESHAWAR: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) dissident’s workers on Tuesday asked the party leadership to take note of award of party tickets to ‘incompetent’ candidates or else they would launch a protest movement.

Speaking at a press conference, the annoyed activists, including ex-district president Zaffar Khattak, Arif Zaman, Fahim Khan and others alleged that the party provincial president and member of the party parliamentary board Asad Qaiser and Pervez Khattak had sold the party tickets.Zaffar Khattak said the two leaders had ignored the ideological party workers and leaders which triggered serious concerns among the party activists.

He alleged that majority of the party tickets for the provincial and tribal constituencies including PK-1, PK-6, PK-21, PK-40 had been awarded to undeserving contestants. “Soon we would arrange public rallies in the constituencies where from Asad Qaiser and Pervez Khattak are contesting the polls, to let the people know about the facts,” he added. He asked the party chairman Imran Khan to take action against both the leaders and expel them from the party or else they would launch a protest campaign.
