PTI condemns forcible breaking down of the walls of Anarkali Church & St Francis School
On behalf of PTI, Central Information Secretary Shireen Mazari today condemned the forcible breaking down of the walls of Anarkali Church and St Frances School in the Prime Minister's constituency and the attempted takeover of the school and church grounds in order to build a plaza. She reminded that the church property - for which it paid Rs 18 lakh to reclaim the school after denationalization - were not part of this nationalization in the first place.
She said it was shameful that the PM, who should be ensuring respect and protection for the Minorities, was allowing such illegal commercialization instead in his own constituency. Mazari said PTI would oppose such victimization of the Minorities and the land grab by land mafias of minorities' places of worship and their attached properties.
Such actions are against the Constitution and it is especially disturbing to see such victimization in the PM's own constituency.
