Protest against cancellation of TV licence
PESHAWAR: Condemning the cancellation of a private TV channel license, scores of journalists and political workers on Monday staged a protest demonstration against the chairman Pakistan Electronic Media Regulation Authority (PEMRA).
The demonstrator have threatened that they would extend their protest demonstration to other parts of the country and would launch a countrywide movement against PEMRA if the concerned T.V channel license was not restore.
The annoyed protesters gathered at Sher Shah Suri Road outside Peshawar Press Club, holding banners and placards inscribed with different slogans against the suppression of freedom of media. They were chanting in favour their demands.
