On the instructions of Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar, Rs10,000 was given to Sheikhupura’s fruit seller who was looted by a mob protesting against the acquittal of Aasia Bibi on November 2, Express News reported on Sunday.

In the video which went viral, it can be seen that the boy selling bananas on a donkey cart is being swarmed by a mob that steals his fruits from every direction.

Despite the vendor telling them to stop, the mob continues to take all his bananas showing no remorse.

Moreover, Buzdar gave directives to Deputy Commissioner Sheikhupara to find the vendor and give him Rs10,000.

The boy’s father has said that his son works as a street vendor to pay for his education.

The nation was at a standstill on October 2 as protests against Aasia Bibi’s acquittal.

Several parts of the Pakistan had witnessed severe disruption as enraged protesters blocked roads and forced markets to shut down.

Protesters resorted to arson and vandalism in many parts of the country and damaged private and public property in various incidents.
