She has also acted with plenty of Indian actors/models. For this particular video I suppose they picked this particular model.

Could be for any number of reasons, like maybe they wanted to market it to another target audience. A lot of considerations are involved in selecting an actor, but I'm sure it's not because she is trying to become a white or western. Is that even possible - I mean, is it possible for her to pretend to be western, when everybody knows who she is, and in fact she even won the miss world title in 2000, competing as an Indian?

About the accent, once again maybe they wanted to target a different audience, and if she used an Indian accent it wouldn't be popular in the west.

I don't really know what their reasons are, I'm just speculating. But let's not be so jugemental and accuse people of being pretenders of self loathers. Only they themselves know whether they are or not.

Her album is in English becoz she is targeting western audience since her voice is not good enough for Bollywood which doesn't have concept of popstars and only uses playback singers.
This simple fact is not getting through to you despite many people trying to explain.

American Accent ?? She has a neutral Indian Accent.
