Israel main objective, in terms of establishing relations in the region, is to develop official ties with KSA and the larger GCC market (Qatar, Oman, Kuwait).

Arabs (leadership) should do everything in their power to work towards a two-state solution and the end of animosity. The prospect of peace and cooperation is much more attractive than the alternative and could greatly improve the region.

Imagine how much the likes of KSA/GCC and other emerging regional economies, miss from having full trade with Israel and their influence in the US and West (business wise).

Israel can claim all it wants about it's desire for a two state solution, but it's actions since '67 and especially in the last three decades have made it impossible to have a two state solution. Only viable option now is one state with Palestinians given equal rights and for refugees to return without restriction.

Jews are strict monotheists, mostly.

On paper, Arabs and Jews are linguistically, culturally and religiously closest to one another.

Historically the jews were treated far better in muslim societies than forexample Christian europe. It wasnt until after WW2 that a abnormal reversal took place.

That being said i believe Israel cannot continue to stay hostile to arabs as they have been in the past. There are many reasons for that.

1. Declining US interest in MENA
2. Relative decline of US power
3. Relative decline of Europe
4. Jews are a very small minority in the wider middle east context

5. Middle east has been goin through a disintegration phase for 250 years. Which means its soon is likely to enter a phase of integration and absorption of smaller less powerful/competitive nations into supra-nations.

5. There are many examples of smaller nations who have overcome a numerically larger opponent. But in the end the conqourors almost always have become more friendly and inclusive in order to consolidate new territories. Which means both israelis and arabs have to compromise in order to successfully integrate.

6. It would be stupid to not trade with neighbors when there is a market right next door.

With all due respect, are you seriously comparing Arabs with tiny Iran (in comparison)?

The above is what I associate that "rivalry" with.

Iran's SOLE, I repeat SOLE, relevance in the Arab world is its support for ARAB movements (Hezbollah, Houthis, Iraqi groups) that would continue to exist tomorrow if the Iranian Mullah's collapses (which is a question of time BTW but that is another topic for another time).

That support too is "religious" in nature (or at least branded/propagandized as such). Imagine a non-Mullah ruled Iran, what exactly would tie such an entity with those Arab groups? Nothing is the answer.

So Arabs are their own worst enemies. If Arabs united, they would become a world power like before. With the expected population growth of the Arab world by 2050, that alone is bound to make them an economic powerhouse.

And honestly speaking, look at it from the outside, Iran is used (often) as a bogeyman by the Arab leaderships in order for people to forget the real elephant in the room which is the lack of genuine political Arab unity. The only thing that can actually turn the Middle East into a genuinely successful region once again like it was the case throughout millennia.

Anyway the key remains the Palestinian/Arab-Israeli rivalry and internal Arab dynamics.

Most realistic too. I don't really understand the logic of the extreme Israeli nationalists/ultra-religious Jews. In an alternative universe where Israel is to annex both the West Bank and Gaza, the Jews themselves would become a minority in this new Israeli state. It makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. There is no option but a two-state solution.
