President of India’s message on the eve of National Day of Turkey

The President of India, Shri Pranab Mukherjee has extended his greetings and felicitations to the Government and the people of the Republic of Turkey on the eve of their National Day (October 29, 2016).

In a message to His Excellency Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the President of the Republic of Turkey, the President has said, “On behalf of the Government and the people of India and on my own behalf, I have pleasure in extending greetings and warm felicitations to Your Excellency and to the people of the Republic of Turkey on the occasion of your National Day.

Our two countries have rich historical links. Shared belief in democracy, secularism and market economy have built the foundation of our close bilateral ties. I firmly believe that our relations will get stronger in the coming years, bringing further benefits to the citizens of our two countries.

I would also like to take this opportunity to convey my best wishes for Your Excellency’s continued good health and well-being and for the continued progress and prosperity of the friendly people of the Republic of Turkey”.

Excellency
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Excellency is an honorific style given to certain members of an organisation or state. Once entitled to the title "Excellency", the holder usually retains the right to that courtesy throughout his lifetime, although in some cases the title is attached to a particular office, and is held only for the duration of that office.[1]

Generally people addressed as Excellency are heads of state, heads of government, governors, ambassadors, certain ecclesiastics, royalty, and others holding equivalent rank (e.g., heads of international organizations, high commissioners in the Commonwealth of Nations) and the FIFA President.

It is sometimes misinterpreted as a title of office in itself, but in fact is an honorific that precedes various titles (such as Mr. President, and so on), both in speech and in writing. In reference to such an official, it takes the form His Excellency; in direct address, Your Excellency, or, less formally, simply Excellency.

Khilafat movement .

Gandhiji’s struggle was a movement to prevent the British from abolishing the Khilafat or transferring its headquarters from Istanbul (where it had been during the Ottoman Empire) to Jerusalem, which was to be under British control. Gandhiji marshalled Muslims and Hindus in what he termed an anti-British struggle. Fighting for the Khilafat was to argue for Indian independence.

I always laugh when I hear of "Aryan" it reminds me of iranians that believe they are white.

"Despite the rather inglorious legacy of Aryanism, many Iranians still nonchalantly seize every opportunity to emphasize their "Aryanness." But how did Aryanism reach Iran in the first place? Iranian Aryanists would have us believe that we have referred to ourselves as ariya since time immemorial, and that this epithet is a racial one, used to distinguish those who are ariya from those who are not. The claim is fallacious."

I think your confused by the Nazi aberration of the term Aryan. Aryans were a proto Indo-European people who inhabited the area between the Black and Caspian sea.

Persian is a decent language of proto Indo-European. Hence the claim by Iranians that they are Aryans.

Funny guy, i would have enough material to continue this but the thread would become a troll fest and you would be on the shorter end of the stick, believe me.
