There are reports White House is working with Pakistan govt on proposed visit of President Obama to Pakistan. He will visit either on way to or coming back from India on his January trip.

This report is unconfirmed but one thing the sources on media confirmed is that Pakistan foreign office is in touch with State Department and this proposed trip will also be discussed on Kerry's visit next to Pakistan.

Yaa, ever since Raheel Shareef "came in power", Pak US relationship is on the positive tide. Obama the other day seemed to make a lot of sense when he answered an absurd question from a stupid Indian girl. He should be visiting Pakistan and help Pakistan in recreating the peace in the region. Pakistan can contribute to create stability in Afghanistan as USA too is ready to accept Mullah Omer as role player there.

Good positive developments are happening all around.

If its True then good. Both countries should continue to corperate with each other to eliminate terrorism.

I do think pakistan should do whatever it takes to mend itself and its relations with the U.S.

But there's no way pakistan can protect Obama if he visits there. PAK army itself cannot safeguard its own bases, how are they going to protect visitors, especially the U.S. president . Obama should not take that risk.

Anyway this is probably wishful thinking by somebody in Pakistan to feel the waters

Sir,

Are you a shit stirrer---!

At a time when Chinese president postponed his trip to Pak, Obama visiting would be sort of a diplomatic coup for US.

whatever it takes

Lets make 'whatever it takes' to ' whatever it takes without losing dignity and national interest'

Like Pakistan's president, PM, COAS etc have been protected. Please notice I did not even mention our nuclear assets.

Trust me he will be safer than a baby in a nursery.

You forget the key difference. The jihadis need your coas and president, so lets them live ( as long as they do their bidding). POTUS is considered enemy by both Pak establishment and jihadis, due to drones and other reasons.

I will not mention Dawood Ibrahim, Hafiz Saeed just so as to convince you.
