Let's have a predictions thread for 2017.

Everyone give their top 10 predictions for 2017. We can revisit this thread on December 2017 to see who got the most right.

Predictions could be about any topic from anywhere in the world, but let's keep 50% of those predictions about Pakistan.

1. Donald Trump gets impeached
2. Isreal invades a portion of Syria along Golan heights
3. Yemen war spills over to saudi.
4. A major terror attack in Europe shakes Europe to its core.
5. Wall street crash
6. Pakistan growth rate increases to 7%
7. CPEC brings Afghanistan grudgingly to the table on pakistans side because of benefits it offers
8. More people get disenfranchised by PTI because of its politics of disruption; major defects from the PTI leave the party much marginalized.
9. An earthquake in northern pakistan causes major loss and disruption
10. Pakistan forces continue to win the war on terror in the tribal areas and beyond

Mine:

1. Donald Trump gets impeached --
• he will complete his term (four years) as a president he'll complete 1st year as a president till 20th Jan 2018 & as well as 2017

2. Isreal invades a portion of Syria along Golan heights
• israel is already under pressure for their policies so its highly unlikely.

3. Yemen war spills over to saudi..
• few terrorist attacks which took place this year maybe we will see few more attacks in coming year but if u r talking abt civil war,Then I doubt that and Ans is NO.

4. A major terror attack in Europe shakes Europe to its core.
• France,Germany ?? yes but rest of the European countries will not come under attack.


5. Pakistan growth rate increases to 7%
• it will remain under 5.8....

6. CPEC brings Afghanistan grudgingly to the table on pakistans side because of benefits it offers
• They're already sold out in the market..no chance until someone else replace them after election..Ans is NO

1. I doubt Trump will get impeached, the Republicans will have to slowly build a case and reveal something that will actually shock his huge support base.

2. Possible, Trump will empower Israel to do as they wish, but the political ramifications from the rest of the world may be so costly that Israel reconsiders.

3. I agree, I also think the likely hood of a false flag Iranian attack increase as the Saudis become more desperate.

4. Yes, if I had to guess, it will be targeting an iconic European monument such as the Eiffel Tower, Vatican, or Reichstag.

5. Hard to say, it depends on whether Trump delegates economic affairs, or takes a hands on approach.

7. I doubt it. Kabul has been very uncooperative, and the fact that they weren't included in the Russia, China, Pak meeting speaks volumes. Not to mention public opinion would be heavily against the govt. if they did so.

8. I think PTI will gain popularity in 2017, many early projects are coming to fruition, and the recent construction of SK Cancer hospital should give them a nice bump in the polls.





Some things to consider for 2017:

1. What the effects of the Islamic coalition in Syria will be? Will ISIS be destroyed or severely diminished due to the inclusion of Raheel Sharif?
2. Will the Taliban significantly increase their holdings in Afghanistan?
3. Will India amend or scrap the IWT?
4. Will the UK finally trigger article 50?
5. Will the Russian/Syrian forces retake control?
6. Will far-right parties sweep general elections in Western Europe?
7. How will Game of Thrones end?

Here is my list of predictions for 2017.

Pakistan Defence related
1) There will be a major escalation between Pakistan and India in Poonch sector.
2) Pakistan will increase it's defence budget.
3) USA will approve the sale of F-16 to Pakistan
4) Pakistan will sign the contract for 4 MILGEM Ada-class corvettes and TAI T-129 attack helicopter..
5) Jf-17 block 2 (two-seater will be handed over to Pakistan)
6) Official configuration of Jf-17 Block 3 will be revealed

Socio/Political/Economic/Others
1) Pakistan will continue to be the Graveyard of Education
i) no significant increase in Educational budget.
ii) no reduction in literacy rate in Pakistan

2)Pakistan will tilt toward Russia but still continue working relationship on WOT with USA.
3) Russia, China and Pakistan will support Taliban to fight ISIS/Daesh in Afghanistan.
4) minor flood in Sindh
5) Infant mortality rate in Pakistan will not decrease.
6) Even though CPEC in full swing, we will not see any decrease in unemployment rate in Pakistan.
7) Medieval feudal system will continue to flourish in Pakistan
8) Provincial Disharmony will continue in Pakistan.
9) Energy crisis and Environment issue will continue.

Local Political Scenarios
PTI will continue to play strong opposition.
Just like Javid Hashmi, another mole will leave PTI.
Nabil Gabool will Join PPP
Major defection from MQM-P and MQM-L to PSP
PSP will surprise MQM-P, MQM-London and MQM-Haqiqi
Nawaz Sharif will win Panama League Case
Altaf Hussian will be indicted in Imran Farooq murder Case.

If election were to take place in 2017
PMLN will lose North Punjab to PTI.
PTI and PPP will form provincial government in Punjab.
Bilawal will win his seat in elections.
PPP will lose urban Sindh to PSP

International
Russia and Poland will accept Syrian refugees
There might be another attack by ISIS (Israeli secret intelligence service) in EU and Turkey.
China will secretly support Khalistan movements.
Yemen will be split into two countries.
Donald Trump will try to resolve Palestinian conflict.
