PPP to write letters to foreign embassies to expose NAB ‘victimisation’

ISLAMABAD: The PPP announced on Friday that it has decided to expose National Accountability Bureau (NAB) and its victimisation policy for anyone who raises his or her voice against the policies of this government by writing letters to foreign embassies and diplomats.

“We have decided to write to foreign embassies and diplomats to apprise them of the NAB's victimisation and to expose the NAB,” said Senator Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar, spokesman for the PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari at a press conference at Zardari House along with the PPP Deputy Information Secretary Palwasha Khan, MNA Khursheed Jonejo and Media Coordinator of Nazir Dhoki.

Senator Khokhar said the European Union had observed that the NAB has resorted to victimisation while on 6th August a report by Human Rights Watch also raised serious questions about NAB's functioning.

He said the report has mentioned the names of President Asif Ali Zardari, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and others including Mir Shakil-ur-Rahman of Jang Group who have been victimised by the NAB. “This is not the only international organisation that has raised questions about human rights violation in Pakistan by the NAB,” he said.

Kokhar said the European Union has also raised questions about the NAB in the past, saying that it has become a tool of political blackmailing.

He said the PPP will write letters to the foreign embassies in Pakistan apprising them of NAB's victimisation of opposition leaders as well as anyone who differs from government policies.

Is anyone surprised? There is hardly any thing to be surprised at. PPP and PMLN history is full of this. Have we forgotten how Beznair use to write specially to the US, have we forgotten how Nawaz use to hire lobby firms in the US and still does. These two parties can go to any extent even breakup of Pakistan. That chawals that vote for them and continue to support them are the real threats. Not these parties. They made their agenda pretty clear from day 1.
PTI does not have simple majority to amend laws otherwise a law should be made on treason and this needs to be added. If any person/party tries to involve foreign elements in Pakistan's affairs it will be considered treason which should be punishable by death and than implement this law on couple of persons because the problem is even if there is a law its never implemented specially on ruling elite. Just look at Nawaz and how he manage to get out. Our judicial system is a joke.

1- Pushed them to first identified the individual with no financial worth. Whose names and ID can be used to open fake bank accounts.

2- Then NAB dragged Zardari and his children to the banks to open fake accounts on these names using stolen identities.

3- Then NAB facilitate the money laundering of billions of rupees out of Pakistan.

4- The same fake IDs are then used to remit billions of rupees back to Pakistan in PPP's leaders account.

All in a day work for NAB. Such an injustice.

Says a great deal about the level of faith the PPP have in the sound judgment of the Pakistani people.

Pakistan has no opposition party. I can only hope PTI remains in power for a very long time as they are our only viable political party.
