LAHORE: A woman hit an elite force officer while reversing her car at a high speed outside the Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif’s house in Lahore, Express Newsreported on Saturday.

DSP Model Town revealed that the woman, Anum Zia, is the daughter of Pakistan People Party’s leader Qasim Zia. Qasim reportedly reached the scene of the incident and was trying to negotiate with the police.

The Model Town police have taken Anum into custody.

A case was registered by the police against her.

The elite force officer, identified as Ashfaq Ahmed Haidri, is in critical condition and was taken to a hospital for medical assistance. P

It was reported that the car that Anum was driving belonged to the Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF). Anum’s father, Qasim is the former president of PHF.

Conflicting statements

The PPP leader’s daughter told Express News that she was looking for a friend’s house when her car hit the officer.

The police, however, stated that Anum had been roaming around the chief minister’s house before the incident took place.

It was reported that the elite force had tried to stop her but she tried to get away.

While talking to Express News, Anum said that the police outside the Punjab chief minister’s house stopped her and checked her bag but only found toffees in it, further adding that the officers hit her car with a steel rod.

“There was no one else in the car at the time of the incident,” she stated.

According to initial details, there were two other people in Anum’s car at the time of the incident.

The police stated she had no driving license. In her statement, Anum said she had learnt to drive in Britain and she does not have a Pakistani driving license.

Then present the British driving license, I believe its valid in Pakistan.

So Dual Nationality applies also to Driving Licenses in Pakistan?

Actually, if you had bothered to take your head out of your arse you would have realized that it works in India too, and pretty much the rest of the world as well. All you need is an IDP.

Now, are you talkin' outta your arse?
The IDP/Carnet needs to be endorsed/accepted locally. However in Pkistan; since Dual Nationality is also the norm, anything goes......

Dude, your comment just got smacked back on your face. India accepts the IDP as is the case with Pakistan. So at the very least since your own face is charcoal black best not point at the smudge on my forehead. Then dual nationality is accepted by Canada, UK, the US, etc. Did you check if its that everyone relinquishes their Indian nationality as soon as they get another? Just wondering.

"Dual Nationality is also the norm", obviously you don't know jack.
