Poverty in Pakistan

Isn't it funny how certain touts are now quiet? :D

After all, projecting a soft image and promoting Pakistan is a declared mission statement of this forum, no matter what the reality or facts. Why stop now?

Poverty in Pakistan is growing, and all its associated consequences for the population. And it is only going to get worse.
On the contrary in absolute terms Poverty in South Asia has considerably reduced.

Please thread the thread title again. Your post belongs over in the other subfourm. :D

Now can we get back to the topic here please? For example, how is the present government going to help poverty alleviation in its current financial crunch?

Financial crunch, Mr VCheng, you should be the last person asking Pakistanis this question, last I checked your debt is growing by trillions and unsustainable, so I suggest go fix your own house before giving us the advise. As for the Topic I have clearly said Pakistan is a 3rd world country and only 70years old plus for the last 30 some years fighting an insurgency, what's your excuse?

The high rate of population growth compounds the problems, no doubt, but the poor are much more affected by inflation since it erodes whatever little buying power they have for essentials. With rates predicted to go as high as 14%, this issue will become serious in the three years Asad Umar has mentioned to turn the economy around.

Even if the inflation rate is 140% and they can't afford one time meal, that still doesn't effect their holy mission of gifting nation dozen children.
