I bet someone especially some indian members must be ecstatic after seeing these pics,so I've been genuine enough in exposing our unpleasant dimensions of realities, how about some indian be genuine back in return by exposing theirs?
Nothing ecstatic about it. If it is smog and not fog, then it is serious trouble and lot of people are suffering. We don't take any pleasure in people's suffering. Isn't that normal ? I hope something is done quickly about it.
Delhi is the most severely affected with air pollution. I will try to update some pictures, in the same post.

. . . .
Nope. But i would like to one day. :)
You be surprised that most days, the pollution isn't like what you see in the news. It's when that that freak day happens, it becomes world news. Not going to deny pollution is a problem in China but at least the leaders are working on trying to combat the problem.

Yeah i just looked at figures on wiki.

INDIA
• 2015 estimate 1,276,267,000[12] (2nd)
• 2011 census 1,210,193,422[13] (2nd)
• Density 385.3/km2 (31st)
998.0/sq mi

CHINA
• 2015 estimate 1,376,049,000[9] (1st)
• 2010 census 1,339,724,852[10](1st)
• Density 2013 :[11] 145/km2(83rd)
373/sq mi

On paper, China is indeed no.1 population wise but density wise, its more than half compare to India & that what matters most.

.
Lets get real. The most populated country is China.
If you're talking about population per square kilometer then it's another story.

Pollution isn't measured "per square kilometer." These are cities in which people actually live. In other words, per unit of livable space.

Read my post above you.

The point is that the city by city calculations ignore the large empty spaces in China. That's not what the article is talking about. Simply put, India is dirtier wherever people are concentrated.

This is because they burn garbage, and wood for heating.

And prefer to do their bussiness on railtracks instead of designated places

Yeh i get your point & i agree with it but by that logic GDP per capita figures are also stupid then, considering not everyone owns the same wealth as the other guy. :)

I don't understand how India is more polluted than China or the U.S. They are much less industrialized which means less green house gas emissions and waste disposal, but many Indian cities top the list. My guess is probably smaller land mass. When India is more industrialized, I wonder how high the pollution levels will reach.
