Last night I make a thread on this topic but something goona wrong in poll options so I postponed my idea to post it today and today I found you start it
Since this announced FATA merged with KPK I really didn't like like it coz its make no sense.
As in current situation we are looking for more divisions more provinces for running a smooth administration WE merging other areas in already existing province is a stupid move.
It should be an independent unit also security point of view, feel sorry for folks cross all over bumpy roads to reach Peshawar to settle their issues.

I am an advocate for smaller, more manageable provinces, so my vote is to give FATA full provincial status like KPK and not like GB. infact we need to give GB the same rights as the other provinces.

Why would you make FATA province?

Does FATA has the proper infrastructure to be a new province?
Does it have qualified people to run the provincial government?
What is the education level of people living in FATA?
What is the economic situation in FATA?
What is law and order situation in FATA?
Does FATA has police Infrastructure?

Should be merged with KPK however even if it stays independent that is ok as well I fail to see difference

However , logically would make sense to merge as KPK has established governance center for economic benefits

Recreating all government institutes again in FATA area would be illogical when you have all such areas already covered in KPK

i generally of opinion for need of split of each province down to

division of existing 4 provinces to 16 segments , with fata that would be 20 segments in Pakistan

Making Smaller provinces is not going to help at this time.
Decentralization of power down to union council is more important.
Decentralization should be implemented and once it's completed then we can make smaller province.

That's all what you asked we need to provide them ( by federal govt ) remembered early days of Pakistan what was the potentials and needed stuff? Still we are great than before to provide intitals necessaries in start.

More provinces are need of Pakistan. By merging it into KP will create problems in future. So lets begin with the right path.

If it is not made a province from day one it will never develop what is needed. And in future when above reservations have been addressed KP will not agree to let lose the power. So better start with support of federation and develop it.

No offense but in my opinion Baluchistan is also a big province. It is not much being developed and a target of conspiracy so i think it should also be divided in smaller parts so it is much efficient to handle.

And what stopped parent province from doing this? Greed in simple words. Smaller stated leads to more distributed centralization which is far better than having a centralized state promising x number of things which never change in reality and I am talking about today's scene, not ideal situation.

referendum in Fata will answer this question, what people of FATA desire should be implemented not what we want..

N govt was not sincere with people of fata when they opted for chor darawaza of Jirga and APC instead of simple referendum.. sadly these politicians are again playing with people of Fata and want to ruin good image of PA..
