Other than the "far right ultra nationalist" part, a chunk of all the other aspects of this definition can be found in this government.
A crackdown on opposition (even if they are corrupt, the way it is done so to make sure of almost no opposition possible by keeping them locked up for a long period of time with very slow progress on the cases and/or investigation) , an urge to control media (not allowing opposition narrative to be conveyed, pressure for not popularizing issues that show lack on the part of government, intimidating journalists) and controlling the judicial system as per own wishes are all present and visible.
As per Rauf Klasra, in the PM IK meeting with journalists he was not even aware of media being told not to showcase interview of Maulana nor was Minister of Info aware who said its PEMRA and same has been done earlier with Zardari (who passes the order i would sure like to know). Before this incident of judiciary, there was the transferring judges through whatsapp as well.
Personally the current government, through its ways and part of IK's team, tends the most as reminder of Musharraf's era to me and the influence of establishment (yes army), selected bureaucracy, corrupt old politicians placed in the IK's team (and then those people's sub teams and so on) is so manifested in the time we have seen this government for. I am a PTI voter, IK believer, but the frame, as it stands, is bleak.
I personally believe this government overall is still better than all the last ones, but still far far far away from a good one. Those who say IK team is shit, IK should chose one then. The challenges are haunting but we who voted for him expected a man to see the devil in the eyes not try to over run it and escape.
Besides, the foreign policy and relations have been run well, Economy is being tried upon well but still on the same old ways, We have a man who at the very least seems to be a leader of a nation.
OPPOSITION, MEDIA, JUDICIARY suffer, no matter how much u believe they are corrupt and agents or whatever, there is a right way and a wrong way. Every brick that is laid in a wall is the foundation for the next one.
