lately, im observing the indian society to be more " politically active" and minorities standing up to their rights

case in point -

CAA bill . nearly all of muslims in india came out to protest

farmers bill . sikhs have blocked all of delhi

make no mistake, protest works

overall , i observe indian society to be more ' aware' ? and politically active and willing to take to the streets for their rights

if i contrast this with pakistan, i dont see any protests over unjust govt policies or other issues ? all we have is groups coming out for their own vested interest ( PDM, PTM etc ) who are mostly foreign funded

for eg, ppl here on pdf( incl me) routinely complain over inflation etc , but never go out and protest ?

PS . this is not a political thread . this is purely a social observation .

There's so many of us that it's relatively easy to recruit people for a cause and gain enough critical mass to make an impact or at the very least stage a protest.

That's not including the paid ones, paid protesters are relatively cheap and easier to recruit, so much so that it's an industry.

Also, the longer a government is in power, the more dissatisfied people there are, providing a readymade pool for protests. It has also to do with vote bank politics, traditionally, voting blocks have exerted influence through protests, it's a well established route of expressing one's dissatisfaction.

Indian society is more political in existence than Pakistan. Also there seems to be more trust by Indians in their political system than Pakistanis.
