JAMMU: A group of heavily-armed unidentified terrorists attacked a police guard post in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama district which resulted in the death of two policemen in the wee hours of Tuesday.
Three other policemen reportedly sustained serious injuries in the heavy exchange of fire from both sides.

A group of three-four terrorists had opened fire at the police guard post, killing two policemen on the spot.
The police personnel deployed on duty retaliated to the attack and a heavy exchange of fire took between both sides. However, the terrorists managed to flee from the spot.
According to the initial reports, the policemen were deployed at a court complex in Pulwama in South Kashmir.
The entire area has been cordoned off and a massive search operation is also underway to nab the attackers.
In a related incident, 10 CRPF jawans sustained minor injuries after they were attacked by some terrorists with grenades in Sadar in the Anantnag district around 3 am today.

Pakistan-backed terrorist outfit Jaish-e-Mohammed's (JeM) hand is suspected behind the two attacks in the past 12 hours in J&K.
The security forces are on high alert and patrolling and surveillance has been stepped up in sensitive areas.
