Can we quad pack them in babur class will be my question

. .
What is the Long term Supply / Delivery outlook for this supplier ?
Considering the recent USA-Australia-UK angle , worth considering how these tech & missile would not get impacted by any future political issue like we deal with US engines for T-129

It would be a huge time waste to get something like 30-40 missiles and then suppliers changes their mind to supply missiles

Italy is a reliable trade partner. We wanted aspides/spada 2000, they provided it. We wanted m109L and what not, they provided. They arent the us. They are nice

As long as there is large stock of Missiles and key component spare
Some what skeptical about deal

Navy likes to test 1-2 missiles now and then for testing so must have large quantity of Missiles supplied

Normally when ever USA is involved , there is reliability factor as supplier , considering they are attempting close ties with UK , unsure if these system would be prone to any indirect , lack of parts or supplies

Is this Italian company based system or UK based system ? I misunderstood it to be from UK

Should have also ordered some Ships as well if it was Italian they do make some decent ships as well
This is Next Generation Tech , this really puts the Milgem Ships deal in high standard

Congrats to Italian friends and growing Pakistan-Italian ties

Talking about the newer Frigates they are making, I did see some of their models which are quite nice ships
While Pakistan Navy is committed on Milgem and Jinnah Grade ships from Turkey

Would not mind seeing 1-2 Ships from Italy in Pakistan Navy , their NG ships look wonderful

They are currently replacing their old ships with NG ships

In the future Pakistan needs to deploy long range SAM's along our coastline. This will help improve and make our A2/D2 strategy stronger and more capable. These defense systems should be deployed to deny the enemy airpower and the use of cruise missiles. Both Russia and China have done this.

In this picture you can see the range if Pakistan deploys 3 regiments of the HQ-9(200 km range) along our coastline. Deployed in the following areas:

1 .Jiwani, Balochistan
2. Ormara, Balochistan
3. Between Mirpur Sakro and Jadewari

This news came to light back in June, we had a discussion (worth reading) here: https://defence.pk/pdf/threads/paki...truction-started.566857/page-56#post-13178240

Anyways, based on the scale model of the Jinnah-class frigate (from IDEF 2021), it looks like the PN is standardizing on the Albatros-NG/CAMM-ER across its MILGEM-based ships (Babur-class, Jinnah-class). When it comes to SAMs and AAMs, Pakistan generally orders a large stockpile upfront - a one-time purchase with local support infrastructure. Basically, sanctions don't matter provided the OEM completes the delivery. If Italy is no longer a seller in the future, the CAMM-ER's replacement will be a non-Italian SAM once the CAMM-ER reaches its end-life and/or becomes out-of-date.

@Abid123 Surface defense Missiles are a separate discussion as you need to cover large area
Only a local production of SAM system will address that in long term

But this is a 10/10 deal for Pakistan Navy considering it is Italian Supplier
For sea based defensive weapon at sea for ship

Is there a land base similar system ?

We got the SPADA2000 a while back so a refreshment of the SAM system at land would be nice prospect

Why not ? SPADA2000 was used in past for most critical points

The Aster30 missile is used widely across Africa (Egypt) and Middle East (Saudia /Qatar etc) , far Asia (Singapore)

Seems logical unless price is a limiting factor, however if it is a one time buy good for 25 years makes sense to get 8-9 systems (Land)

2 System for Sindh
2 Systems for North (KPK/Kashmir)
3 System for Eastern front
1 System for Gwadar
1 System for Omra
