ISLAMABAD: The Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has said that the inquiry committee formed on 26th of June by the Government in the light of the Supreme Court decision has completed its task.
Addressing a news conference here on Sunday evening‚ he said the Committee has submitted its report to the Government yesterday and in the light of the report of the Committee‚ a case under article-6 of the Constitution can be initiated against former dictator‚ General Pervez Musharraf.
The Minister said the Government studied the report and decided to approach the Chief Justice of Pakistan to form a three-member Commission so that formally a case can be initiated against Musharraf under article-6. He said a letter for this purpose will be sent to the Chief Justice tomorrow.
He said the Chief Justice will identify three High Courts and one Judge from each of these courts will be included in the Commission. He said the Government will also nominate a Special Public Prosecutor who will prosecute the case from Government's side.
Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan said Musharraf will have to be held accountable for violating the constitution and detention of judges.
On Rawalpindi carnage, Interior Minister Ch. Nisar Ali Khan said that situation is improving in the country including Islamabad and Rawalpindi after the unfortunate Rawalpindi incident that occurred on Friday.
He said curfew will be relaxed from 7.30 pm tonight to 12 midnight.
The Minister said at 11 tonight‚ situation in Rawalpindi will be reviewed with the Punjab Government and hoped that the situation will improve by tomorrow.
Nisar said negotiations were held with Ulema of all schools of thought, adding that the Ulema demonstrated their prudence.
He said Namaz-e-Janaza of three persons of the tragedy was offered in an atmosphere of understanding. He said the other side also fulfilled their commitment.

When I saw this, it was really hard for me to stop laughing. Isn't this same PML N who beat up the Chief Justice of Pakistan Syed Sajjad Ali Shah as he was trying to give people speedy justice.
