PMA receives first batch of women cadets

RAWALPINDI, Nov 11: The Pakistan Military Academy (PMA) received its first ever batch of lady cadets who would undergo training to acquire commission in the army as captains.

These lady officers will be inducted into various fields other than medical. The batch, comprising 40 cadets, reported to PMA Kakul on Saturday where they will undergo basic training, a pre-requisite before grant of commission in the army.

These cadets have been selected from all over the country through a stringent criterion for service in the field of signals, electrical and mechanical engineering, ISPR, IT, education and judge advocate branch.

After the successful completion of the six-month training, these lady cadets will be commissioned as captains and will join their male counterparts in those departments to serve the nation both in times of war and peace

Gr8 news its the first time that a women batch is appearing in PMA pakistan military acadmy this shows that pakistani society is changing by every passing day and its a good thing that women are been given equal opportunities & status as men in Pak as the role of women plays a significant role in the grownth of our economy now they are also been given opportunities to join army airforce and navy as profession which surely. is a positive step

. . .
There are some roles for women in this world and some roles for men....

Being a soldier is NOT a role for women. Nothing sexest about it. just ... plain... logic
