ISLAMABAD - Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will visit Saudi Arabia on April 23 (Thursday), where he is expected to discuss the Yemen crisis.

Prime Minister Sharif will hold talks with Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz during his visit. The prime minister’s visit comes in the backdrop of the parliament unanimously approving a resolution calling for maintaining neutrality during the conflict in Yemen.

The unanimous resolution, which was passed on April 10 after a week-long debate during a joint parliamentary session, also vowed that Pakistan would come to Saudi Arabia’s defence if the country’s sovereignty or territorial integrity is threatened.

Saudi Arabia had asked Pakistan for military assistance, including ground troops, fighter jets and navy vessels to join the coalition forces in the Yemen operation.

On April 15, a high level Pakistani delegation held talks with Saudi leaders including Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman Abdulaziz. The delegation was headed by Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif and also included Adviser to Prime Minister on National Security and Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz and Foreign Secretary Aizaz Ahmad Chaudhry.

Both sides discussed bilateral relations and regional situation with special reference to the Yemen crisis. The visit by the Pakistani delegation came hours after US Secretary of State John Kerry telephoned Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and exchanged views on Yemen crisis.

The United States placed two top figures in Yemen´s Houthi rebellion – Houthi leader Abdul Malik al-Houthi, and Ahmed Ali Saleh, the son of former president Ali Abdullah Saleh – on its sanctions blacklist while the United Nations Security Council has approved an arms embargo on the group.

Why only General Raheel? He should take all the chief ministers, joint chief of staff, all three chiefs, isi chief, and also all the cabinet and all parliament members with him. Koi reh na jaey kahin aur phir saudi naraz ho jaein aur humari roti rozi band na ho jaey. Genral Raheel aik dafa chalay gy hein bus boht hy itna. His Excellency King salman ko itna problem hy to khud aa jaey pakistan. Yahan sirf shikar karnay atay hein yeh arabi bus. Put these arabs and persian in their place. We don't care any of these idiots now. Enough is enough.

Good

Pakistan needs to cultivate alliances, even if we dont want to be dragged into a Yemen war their is a way of saying things and doing things without sounding like a third world noob banana Republic

All these people complaining about the arabs need to hold their horses, does our relationship with them need improving?, Sure!

But they are a important part of Pakistans cultivation of reliable allies

Rather than bitch and moan and attack arabs lets build a more stronger relationship and make some requests/demands re military and national investment, military support and some anti india/indian actions to show that they are willing to support us like we are ready to support them

Saudi Arabia has spent $70 billion on defence procurement and has state of the art weapons while there is a rag tag militia of Hothis in Yemen. They can defeat Houthis themselves and tackle their perceived threat. They have 7 million foreigners in their country which build roads, work in factories, cook and take care of their children. They seem to be lazy rich who need servants to do all the work for them.

You are absolutely right. but Saudis also need to understand that only those relations grow and flourish which are based on mutual respect. Most of these guys who talk against saudis they talk on the basis of their first hand experiences with the saudis. Their impression in the public has gone down very sharply. They also need to understand that, Respect others and in return you will be respected. But it is not very easy to win the hearts of people again, but they can atleast try. People have not become pro iran here but they have become anti saudia more. Two problems saudia have here....

1. Saudis properly disrespect pakistanis in their countries and consider them lower grade human and in return they are being disrespected here.
2. People connect saudi funding with terrorism, bcz some of the funds they give to some madrisas those funds somehow make its way to terrorist and sectarian organisations.

Saudia needs to cater these two problems. People used to love them but in the last decade their point of view has changed very sharply.

In my province both saudia and iran are the cause of trouble and unrest, one supports lashkar jhangvi and sippah e sahaba which kill on sectarian basis and other supports BLA, BLF etc. which kills security forces, punjabis, sindhis, and pathans. I m not in love with both of them. Both are destroying us. I just care about my beloved pakistan.:pakistan:

Then what are they expecting from us? to pick them up? What a reply you gave me . you cant understand what i am saying. Are chinese, turkish, picking us up when we are going to their countries? They also call us their friends just like arabs, but the attitude difference is immense. Anyways its above your intellect to understand this. And i dont think millions of pakistanis are mad who are complaining about arabs shit behavior and treatment. In return 80% population in pakistan has turned completely against them, and you better ask all of them to grow up. Anyways, yeh aap ki samajh say bahir hy meray bhai. Thats why grow up, at least a little.

Oh..... just watched your other posts, now i understand your blind slave following. I don't blame you know. keep it up.
