These avoidable controversies allows to deflect the media attention from real issues to idiotic things like his suit...... Now that the govt has crossed 7 months we should be discussing the performance and policies of the govt........

Stupid suit anyways. Tasteless.

. .
Yes so why are his followers claiming this calculated move at this point of time as some usual routine work and has nothing to do with the recent happenings...

Some one has to....

It is a normal move to sell his gifts, this suit would have been sold next year if not this year , now why are kejri followers have a problem with the date of selling his suit too ??

. . . .
it is cmon man..:nono::nono::nono:

The below post of one of the PDF poster answers your question...
I am not the one questioning that. I was quoting the other member. I put that under quotes but somehow it got out side the quote tags and shown as my comment. I too dont believe the timing theory floating around. You can see my all other responses in this thread....

That's OK... Some posters claiming this to be a routine affair is what made me post in over here

Timing of what ? Auction ? He does not control it.

Or timing of reporting ? He does not control it either. Stop jumping at shadows
So who gets to decide what will be auctioned? Are you saying he has no say over his personal belongings?

You are nit picking - your post about timing came much before the one that you are showing as proof.
Yes it did and my answer was what this poster had to say, hence asked you to refer it....

You are going around in circles. .

Simple fact...along with you I too am surprised at the philanthropy of Mr.Modi.

Posters have provided enough proof that he has been doing this since 2001.

You were attempting to make it sound as to his act being in retaliation to the election defeat or in your case, victory of kejriwal in Delhi..but it doesn't seem to be the case because his has been his standard practice where he has donated 18000 plus items since 2001....I would count your attempt as a fail.

"You are going around in circles" - This is what I should say about you.

I clearly stated that I am not questioning his act but the timing of this act which does coincide with some of the events you just mentioned....

PM Modi's pin-striped suit with his name is being auctioned in Surat, Gujarat
SURAT, INDIA: A businessman has bidRs.1 crore for Prime Minister Narendra Modi's "name-striped" suit, which is being auctioned today in Gujarat's Surat.

The suit, worn by the prime minister just once, went on sale along with more than 450 other gifts he has received. The first bid forRs.51 lakh was put in by Rajubhai Agarwal, a BJP leader. Suresh Agrawal, a textile businessman, has doubled that offer.

Interested buyers can bid till 5 pm on Friday, says senior Surat official Rajendra Kumar. A statue of PM Modi now wears the famous navy and gold suit as it is displayed at the Science Centre in the city.

The prime minister was mocked by opposition parties for narcissism when he wore the suit with the words "Narendra Damodardas Modi" woven into it in tiny letters during US President Barack Obama's visit to India last month. It was tailored by Jade Blue in Ahmedabad, the clothing chain that handles the Prime Minister's wardrobe.
Congress leader Ajay Maken today said, "How can such an expensive gift to the PM be private? What did this person get in return?" The party's vice president Rahul Gandhi had recently taken a swipe at the prime minister and commented at a rally in Delhi that he wore a "10 lakh-rupee suit Made in UK."
There is no base price on PM Modi's articles. "They are personal property and have not been evaluated," Rajendra Kumar told NDTV.

The money will go towards the clean-up of the Ganga, a pet project of PM Modi, who has described the pollution of the sacred river as a national shame.

When he was Chief Minister of Gujarat, Mr Modi made it a tradition to auction his gifts for charity. He gave away some 18,000 items and the proceeds went into a scheme for educating girls.
