PM Modi: My govt's only religion is 'India first', holy book is Constitution

NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday denounced communalism and said that nobody has right to discriminate on basis of religion.

"No one can take the law in their hands and discriminate on the grounds of community," the Prime Minister said.

"The only religious book is Indian Constitution, only prayer is welfare of all," the PM added

PM Modi was replying to a discussion on the motion of thanks to the president's address in the Lok Sabha.

We have forced nation to talk about black money: Modi

Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said the government had "compelled" the nation to talk about black money.

"We have compelled the nation to talk about black money. This is a big thing," Modi said while replying to the discussion on the motion of thanks to the President's address in the Lok Sabha.

"Our first decision in our first cabinet meeting was the decision on (forming) SIT on black money," he said.

Modi said corruption had "ruined the nation" and the issue should not be discussed through political prism.

Yes if I look around I see a muslim population (in India) which is comparable to that of Pakistan. Anything else?

I am glad that he has spoken........ I am glad that he has shocked every religious bigots of this country and neighborhood.......I seriously hope he mean it..... Albeit late, but he did speak. He didnt keep his silence like Manmohan did on corrpuption scandals of his ministers

Five Digs by PM Modi at Congress During Parliament Speech

1. I will ensure that MNREGA is never discontinued. It is the biggest example of your failings. After so many years of being in power, all you were able to deliver is for a poor man to dig ditches a few days a month. My political sense says never scrap MNREGA.
2. The Congress never did so poorly ever before in history. You went to the people with your Land Act and lost. Not even during the Emergency did you do so badly. If you had to win because of your land act, then you would.
3. We don't believe the country was born in 1947. It dates back thousands of years. Governments come and go. Nation is made by the People, their strength and their potential.

I hope you know that we have a mini Pakistan in India?
I meant the population of muslims in India is equivalent to that of pakistan.

I won't deny that there're one-off incidents and that there 're certain extremist pro-hindu organisations in India. But minorities in India 're doing much better than minorities in Pakistan and BD.

It's the media who hyped up small incidents and made it sound like modi govt is like ISIS. Media needs to be more responsible if not it must be brought in line.
