NEW DELHI: Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull, who is in India on a four-day bilateral meet, experienced his first ride on board the Delhi metro on Monday.
Turnbull was accompanied by none other than his Indian counterpart, Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
After holding delegation-level bilateral talks and signing six pacts aimed at greater cooperation, the two leaders arrived at Mandi House metro station on the Delhi metro's Blue Line to hop a ride.
Amidst heavy security, Prime Minister Narendra Modi was greeted by chants of 'Modi, Modi' at the metro station.

The two leaders waved to the crowd gathered at the busy metro station, before boarding the train bound for Noida City Centre.
While riding on the train, Prime Minister Turnbull whipped out his phone and snapped a selfie with PM Modi.
The prime ministers deboarded at Akshardham metro station, and are expected to pay a visit to the famed Akshardham Temple.

Earlier in the day, India and Australia inked six pacts including one aimed at boosting counter-terrorism cooperation after talks between PM Modi and his Australian counterpart Malcolm Turnbull.
The two leaders held comprehensive discussions on bilateral, regional and international issues of mutual interest and concern.

The thread is about the leaders of two nation making a diplomatic relationship, in this case using public mass transportation...which by itself is significant in South Asian/or other nation. It shows the convenience and confidence of city transportation.

But....some people are bothered about who supplies escalators..... C'mon its the era of globalization.

The development of economic globalization is closely linked. No matter what your country is system, as long as you have good products, there is no worry about no market.

Welcome India metro export to china.

Yes but we are making our own metro & train bogies now.Slowly but steadily we are adapting..
As we all know, China' industrial manufactured goods in the world has always been a large market share, even if the US Navy to build DDG-1000 destroyers, but also had to use China's heavy machinery. The US Navy even imports China's dry dock.

So when I saw India making Delhi metro, I was almost subconsciously searching for Chinese companies to participate.
Then find Canny...

In short, happy cooperation. Welcome India Metro to be exported to China in the near future.

His secret service men do not look well trained. They are not watching hands, many of them stare at the crowd's faces. Then there is a guy with an attaché case to Modi's left side which is his critical side. If somebody attacks the guy has only his left arm immediately free. every second counts...
