Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi’s latest statement against Prime MinisterNarendra Modi may trigger a major controversy as he accused him of doing business on the dead bodies of Army jawans.
“Humare jawan hain jinho ne khoon diya hai, jinho ne surgical strike kiya, unke khoon ke peeche aap(PM) chhupe huye ho. Unki(jawans) aap(PM) dalali kar rahe ho. (Our jawans who sacrificed their lives, who did surgical strikes, you are hiding behind them. Encashing their sacrifice),” said Gandhi at an event on Thursday

He also accused Modi of making false promises to the people of the country. “Modi ji promised bank accounts to everyone, but there is no money in those accounts. All his promises were fake,” said Gandhi.
Gandhi’s comment came two days after another Congress leader Sanjay Nirupam had called the surgical strikes by Indian Army as fake asking for the proof of the action by forces. The party however, distanced itself from Nirupam’s comment.
