Modi ka jo yaar hai gaddar hai gaddar hai... it's kinda catchy.
Nobody in Pakistan will care if IK meets Modi. It’s your collective behinds that catch fire at the mere possibility. As is evident by the replies in this thread.

Arrey bhai I am not against or in favour of it. I just said I like the line, it's catchy.

In any case, the news given in OP is based upon sources and may be totally baseless.

. . .
The day he decides to meet the Pakistani leadership (and that day will come), he will implicitly accept that Pakistan does not support terrorism.
Why do you think it is like this ?
India can simply announce that India is taking a bolder step of talking even though pakistan has not stopped terrorism, and world should take a note of our bigger step forward.

But that is far from happening, there is no pressure on modi to sit on table. Its other way round if he decides to sit on table then he will have lot of backlash from his support base.

Another fake news being peddled by chewtiya jurnos. Meeting b/w Modi and Imran is impossible as Imran will not be attending Eastern Economic Forum summit to be held in Russia.

Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan has apparently not been invited by Russia for the Eastern Economic Forum which will happen in the port city of Vladivostok, the Russian Foreign Ministry clarified in a statement.

The statement came after Pakistani media reported last week that an invite was extended by Russian President Vladimir Putin to Pakistan Prime Minister during the Shanghai cooperation organization summit in Bishkek last month.

Russian Foreign Ministry in a statement said,"We drew attention to the publications in a number of South Asian media that the Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Imran Khan was invited to the events of the Eastern Economic Forum (WEF-5) in Vladivostok (September 4-6, this year) as the guest of honour...".

Explaining, "We expect that the President of Mongolia H Battulga, the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi, the Prime Minister of Malaysia M Mohammad and the Prime Minister of Japan S Abe will arrive" in Vladivostok.

Overall 3 Prime Ministers and one President will be attending the forum.

The forum meeting that began in 2015 aims to garner investment in Russia's far east region.

PM Modi will be going for the forum meeting as a special guest. Russian President Vladimir Putin had extended the invite during a telephonic conversation on January 1 and reiterated the invite during a conversation in February.

Good development, Heads of States should meet and talk.
Will IK gate crash the party to make few pdf guys happy? Off late Pakistani media will declare something and put Govt in embarrassing situation.

Agree that there is no reason to meet him. But no harm either.
Agreed but the forum is to invite investments, i dont think currently Pak is in situation to invest in other countries. Might be down the line, they might. Fatf is literally drainning their precious resources. Now they are at cross roads between prosperity or hate against India

I always mentioned in my earlier post that India Pakistan relation is beyond repair by political parties...It is more like we have to start building relationship at very smaller scale in serious ways...

There is nothing wrong in meeting with heads of state. Indian process is strong and steadfast, so I'm sure there won't be any surprises.

Would love to know how you came up with this fantastic analogy, which makes absolutely no logical sense what so ever.

India is largely a non topic in Pakistan, unlike the other side of the border where there is an utter obsession with Pakistan.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Pakistani counterpart Imran Khan had also exchanged pleasantries last month at the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) summit but there were no formal talks. The two leaders did shake hands but there has not been any official meeting between the two leaders since Imran Khan took over as prime minister of Pakistan in August last year. India has not been engaging with Pakistan following the attack on the Air Force base at Pathankot in January of 2016, maintaining that talks and terror cannot go together

There has been a ‘diplomatic discussion’ with India regarding a possible meeting between the two prime minise, according to The Nation which quoted as official source at the Pakistan Forign Office.

“ This (the meeting) is being considered as Russia also wants Pakistan and India to remove misunderstandings and improve ties. We are very clear. We want to meet them (India) anywhere they like. It is for India to decide when they are ready,” said the official. There has been no confirmation from India on Monday.

The Pakistan Foreign Office official said that a meeting between Imran Khan and Modi would definitely be productive for peace in the region. “We have been struggling to convince them (India) that dialogue is the only way (to resolve bilateral issues),” he added.

“Whenever we have contact with the Indian aside (through the diplomatic channels or meetings) we emphasise the importance of dialogue,” he added.

In June, PM Khan had urged Narendra Modi to realise the goal of peace in the region through “collective endeavours.”

The foreign ministry earlier said in line with established diplomatic norms and inter-state practice, Prime Minister Imran Khan and Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi addressed letters to Indian Prime Minister Modi and Indian External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, congratulating them on assumption of office.
